Step 1
Initial Consultation – Flat Fee $250

We’ll begin with a two hour consultation to determine your lifestyle, personal aesthetic and objectives for your new space. This, in trade terms, is the programming stage of your project. While I’m asking you questions, you’ll get a better understanding of my process, the visual tools I use to communicate my designs – and how fun I am to work with. Depending on the scope of your project, this may be all you need. (Learn more about my Quick Step one-time consultations below.)

If you’re interested in full-service interior design, it is at this consultation that I glean all the information I need to put together a detailed fee proposal. Upon acceptance we can schedule the next step.

Step 2
Concept Development and Design Documentation – ($125 hourly rate)

I prepare a concept showing you the various possibilities. This concept includes floor plans, hand renderings, supporting images and potential samples of furnishings, textiles, finishes, fittings and hard surfaces. After the first presentation I will work hand-in-hand with you to incorporate changes into the final concept. Once the concept is fine-tuned, I prepare 3D drawings, specifications and contract documents for the team of builders, suppliers, tradespeople and artisans.

Step 3
Design Implementation and Project Management – ($125 hourly rate)

I place a high priority on adhering to schedules and would be happy to coordinate and oversee the design implementation so you don’t have to. In my fee proposal, I’ll estimate a range of time I think it will take to manage your project separately from my design concept and documentation phase. This time is highly dependent on the rest of your build team and on the flow of the project and your involvement.

I prefer to be on site regularly to meet with the build team at all milestones of the project as well as when surprises happen. You’ll get full “drop and run” access to me – which means I will DROP what I’m doing and RUN to your job site whenever my presence is required. This ensures that you’ve got someone who is your spokesperson representing the grand vision as well as a trained professional effectively problem-solving any issues that may arise.

Depending on the scope of your project, you may only need to meet with me once. I’m walking about this world with a load of experience and ideas just bubbling forth. Perhaps you want to do a quick re-vamp of your place or you want advice on how to stage it, or you just need to settle a heated discussion with your spouse about whether to paint those wood cabinets or leave it natural!

$250 for a two-hour meeting + optional $125 documentation and follow-up

Paint Colors

Allow minimum of 1-1/2 hrs to select the colors and a 30-minute follow-up meeting. You’ll receive large samples that you can keep and experiment with in your space, as well as specifications for you to hand to your painter.

$250 for 3-5 interior colors – includes all follow up/samples/specifications. $350 for exterior colors.


Home Refresh or Staging

I’ll come over for a two-hour consultation and you take the notes as we go through your project in detail. For an additional $125, I’ll take the notes and follow up by emailing you my written recommendations. May include hand-sketches and links to sources that will help you move forward on your own.
